I really enjoy working with kids. They are so interesting and fresh. Over the years I've worked with many fellow teachers, and it's become easier to spot the good ones. I knew Jimmy's teacher was special by the way she took responsibility for him when I dropped him off. Jimmy is not the biggest fan of sitting, but he always comes home full of what he learned. For this last lesson before Christmas, she made them Baby Jesus dolls. Jimmy is in love with his, and will not put it down. When big brother Peter found a scarf for the baby, Jimmy was so proud to show it off.
God, give me a heart that simple, filled with the joy of Christ. Help me to express my love in tangible ways as well as in the secret shelter of my soul. Amen.
