Christine Ansorge
I was born to two godly parents who told me Jesus loved me before I left the womb. I
made my first profession of faith when I was three. Attending a Baptist Christian school
meant more of my waking hours were spent at church than any place else in my life. I
married two years after graduating from college. Kurt is smart, funny, and profoundly
supportive. We have six amazing children. In the last four years I have responded to
God's call to become a Catholic--an unexpected joy. Most of my spiritual writing these
days reflects my puzzlement with God. I'm learning to appreciate the mystery.
Karen Ansorge
I live in Lafayette, IN. I told God 10 years ago, "I don't ever want to go back." Now, I'm back. God has me on a life do over. Pete and I were married here 14.5 years ago. He's amazing and uncomplicated. He gives me room to complicate his life. I have three children, who are profoundly complicated.
Heather Bowman
I am a mother of six, who has been a "stay at home mom" for 21 years. My husband
and I are interested in becoming foster parents and possibly adopt in the future. A few
of my children have special needs, so whatever I do for the foreseeable future has to be
mostly "from home." I am a writer of stories and poetry, musician, and composer, (and
ebay lister), but my life's ambition has often become getting all of the laundry done..just
once.
Nicole Hill
Nicole is a full time mom on an amazing journey. Like all of us there are mistakes and pain in her past, but God is using that to make her a truly great woman of faith. She lives in Michigan with her eight children and has found the joy and family unity that home schooling can bring. Her husband is now a youth pastor in a church in her hometown. She hopes to draw her family closer to God and to see His power in their lives.
Nicole decided to join our school of fish because she loves the thought of encouraging fellow women in their walk with God. She enjoys reading books that challenge and teach her. She finds satisfaction in cooking large meals for family and friends. Readers that understand life is a little messy, have a sense of humor, and large families will find her posts of particular interest.

Ruth Kennedy
From childhood through college my desire was to graduate from college, get married, and be a stay-at-home mom to 3 or 4 children. I graduated from college in 1992 but didn't get married until 2001. I was a Christian school teacher for 4 years, a Christian school principal for 7 years, and a professor at a public university for 10 years. My husband just completed his Ph.D. in chemistry, and I resigned from my job in January 2013 to become a stay-at-home mom. We have three children - a 4.5 year old girl and two boys ages 3 years old and 7 months. We plan on homeschooling our children.
Jeanne Miller
I live in Maryland with my husband (Gene) and a number of children that can be difficult to track. Gene and I have been foster parents for 11 years and have had more children in our home than we can even remember. I think we lost count at 60 or so. We have been adoptive parents since 2008 when we adopted our oldest daughter, Tammy, at the age of 14. We have since adopted Joey (15), Brandon (13), Emily (8), and Kayden (7). I remember asking Jesus into my heart when I was 6 or 7. The journey is not always an easy one, but I know that God has been with me every step of the way.
Sonya Smerdell
Sonya
Smerdell's life is one of seeds planted early unfurling late. Born to a preacher dad and woman of faith,
the gospel surrounded her. Biblical role
models were woven in with snack time with Dad on the couch. These powerful seeds of wisdom would be
dormant as she married and divorced early, then found herself pregnant and
alone.
Only then did she remember that she
was not alone and that God was with her, leading her through the process of
giving up her first born son for adoption.
God's blessings started to come over and over as those early seeds woke
up. She married Paul Smerdell and
together they survived a terrible accident, a serious illness, and damaged
fertility. God answered Paul's prayers
and baby Sarah bloomed in their life.
Busy with a husband, a daughter, a
job and a life, Sonya has a passion for natural health and for wisdom. She is real and really honest. She seeks God's purposes for her gifts,
certain more seeds will come to life.
Terri Thomas
Terri Thomas was blessed to be raised in a Christian home; she accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of twelve. One of the ways she expresses her love for the Lord is through choreographing and participating in many different styles of dance at her church and other worship events. The Lord used Acts 2:25-26, "Nothing can shake me; He's right by my side. I'm glad from the inside out, ecstatic; I've pitched my tent in the land of hope" to sustain her through one of her darkest seasons of life. Lately she has focused on "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10).
Another one of her biggest blessings is her husband, whom Terri unexpectedly met on a cruise in 2011. Through marrying Philip on January 28, 2012, she gained not only a loving spouse but also stepchildren and grandchildren. She also enjoys cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, watching "So You Think You Can Dance," and helping people restore their independence as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Terri feels as if she is living the "happily ever after" part of a fairy tale.
